Field Testing
As utilities maintain their required testing of meters in the field, safety, accuracy and speed are all important. TESCO offers all of the tools to complete all of the standard accuracy and operational testing. The 6330 allows for in service testing of CT locations where a faulty or improperly wired device can cost the utility a significant amount of revenue. Data can be stored for future review as well as loaded back in to the unit for comparison on future test visit.
The Meter Farm is often used as part of the qualification process prior to deployment, but has been more popular as a post deployment tool to allow large scale testing of all new releases of firmware over hundreds or even thousands of meter points prior to upgrading the entire system. The Meter Farm is frequently used to perform long term testing for new hardware releases prior to introducing later generation meters into the field. As with all of the TESCO product offerings, the TESCO Meter Farm is built with the tradition of reliability and ruggedness.

6330 – Field CT and Meter Tester
Knopp CT Test Equipment
Tesco provides the industry leading Knopp transformer test equipment. The KCTS-8000 is designed to measure the accuracy of instrument transformers having 1 or 5 ampere secondaries and primaries of up to 8000 amperes. The Knopp voltage transformer testing system is designed to measure the accuracy of instrument transformers having 120 volt secondaries and up to 14,400 volt primaries, and up to 36,600 on special order. Both units are auto ranging and can provide full data output to the Meter Manager software for full tracability.
